Fingering From Behind

A positional variation that shifts the focus to the posterior vaginal wall for a different sensory experience.

Fingering From Behind is an internal stimulation technique that utilizes a rear-reaching ergonomic angle to shift sensory focus toward the posterior vaginal wall and the pelvic floor.

How to perform the Fingering From Behind

  1. Positioning: Reach one hand behind your back, following the curve of your lower back and moving over the perineum/anus to access the vaginal opening from the rear.
  2. Entry: Insert your finger(s) into the vagina. In this position, your palm will naturally face away from your belly button.
  3. Action: Curl your fingers backward toward your spine to apply pressure to the posterior (back) wall of the vagina.
  4. Exploration: Experiment with long, slow strokes along the back wall or side-to-side movements to compare the sensation to front-wall (G-spot) stimulation.

A common adjustment for this technique is to try it while lying in a prone position with a pillow under the hips to change the pelvic tilt and increase the reach toward the cervix.

Why this technique feels different

Changing the angle of entry alters which nerve endings are prioritized. While the anterior (front) wall contains the G-spot, the posterior wall is also rich in sensory receptors that respond to deep pressure and stretching. Reaching from behind provides a unique ergonomic angle that can reach higher toward the cervix or target the pelvic floor muscles from a different direction. While often described as less intense than G-spot play, it is a valuable technique for full-spectrum sensory exploration.
